Theodore Baehr
Ted Baehr is the Chairman of Christian Film & Television Commission® and publisher of Movieguide®, as well as a noted critic, educator, and lecturer. His life’s purpose is to educate audiences on how to use discernment in selecting their entertainment. Ted has written numerous books. He was president of the organization that produced the CBS television version of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, boasting 37 million viewers and winning an Emmy Award. Ted produces at least 430 radio and television programs every year. He produced hundreds of programs for PBS television. He presents the Report to the Entertainment Industry every year at the Annual MOVIEGUIDE® Faith & Values Awards Gala. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Christian Institute for the Study of Media, at the Center for the Arts, Religion and Education, at the Graduate Theological Union at the University of California at Berkeley. He has received many awards. He graduated with high distinction as a Rufus Choate Scholar from Dartmouth College, received his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, completed his seminary at the Institute of Theology at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and received his Doctor of Humanities (HHD) from Belhaven College.
Dr. Tom Snyder
Tom is Vice President of Good News Communications/Christian Film & Television Commission™ and Editor of MOVIEGUIDE®. Author of MYTH CONCEPTIONS: JOSEPH CAMPBELL AND THE NEW AGE and co-author with Dr. Baehr of FRODO & HARRY, he has a doctorate in film studies from Northwestern University and has taught film and mass communication classes at several universities. Tom has also done postgraduate studies in philosophy, theology, and Christian apologetics at Mars Hill Academy and Simon Greenleaf University, now called Trinity Graduate School. He has more than 15 years of experience as a journalist, including a stint with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Orange County Register.
Lili Baehr
Treasurer and Corporate Secretary, Lili studied architecture at Rice University and practiced in Houston and New York. She is a photographer, art director, and art historian. She was involved in the formation of the Christian Film & Television Commission® ministry and continues to play a very active role in administration.
Robert Baehr
Robert Baehr is Vice President, Assistant Treasurer/Secretary and the Director of Marketing and Sales for MOVIEGUIDE®. Robert has worked for the company in an on and off capacity for a long time, but only recently came on board in his present position. He brings with him a wealth of experience that he gained from working for HSBC in investment banking in London doing Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as working for the Walt Disney Studios doing marketing and national promotions for top blockbusters such as Pirates of the Caribbean. He also worked for Motive Marketing doing grassroots marketing to the faith community on projects such as THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDDROBE. Robert’s degree is in History from Wheaton College.
David Outten
David is Vice President, Atlanta Editor and Production Editor and Systems Manager for MOVIEGUIDE®. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and has a Masters in Journalism from Regent University. A former Disney artist, David served as editor and publisher of several Christian newspapers and as art director of MOVIEGUIDE® from 1987 to 2000. Since that time he has designed software for clients such as Coca Cola, Emory University, the state of Nebraska and MOVIEGUIDE®. He has been married to his wife Debbie for 35 years. They attend Landmark Church in Norcross, GA. David’s son and daughter are both married but his home is kept lively by three lovable little dogs.
